Well Peruvian Pima cotton’s strength and silkiness is derived from its long strands – staples – which are a great deal finer and very nearly twice the length as those of regular cotton. Once it is matured sufficiently for perfect spinning, dyeing and knitting, the cotton is handpicked, this occurs three times a season. Absolutely no harmful chemicals or defoliants are utilised on Peruvian Pima cotton crops, and so it is not just beautifully natural but ecologically sound as well.
